News anchor Cathy Mohlahlana has announced her departure from Newzroom Afrika.

Mohlahlana had just recently returned to television screens on the news channel after being on maternity leave.

The well-vested broadcaster took to X (previously known as Twitter), on November 30 to announce her departure from the 24-hour television news channel.

She posted a touching message as well as a video reflecting some of her time with the news channel.

Tonight will be my final broadcast with Newzroom Afrika,” she wrote on X.

“I have decided to leave the organisation, and I continue to wish them well.”

Mohlahlana also expressed gratitude to the viewers for their unwavering support. “I would not be who I am without your support as viewers. You have given me more than I could ever ask for. THANK YOU🙏.”

Her fans and industry mates crowded to the comments section with some saying that they are in disbelief that she is departing from Newzroom Afrika.

Mohlahlana has not yet revealed where she is heading to, however, her fans, supporters and industry colleagues wished her well.
