Sonia Mbele has won an award for her show, the ‘Real Housewives of Johannesburg’ (RHOJ), at the National Film and Television Awards South Africa (NFTASA).
The prestigious awards were held in the country for the first time in Opera Theatre, Pretoria, on October 21.
Sonia won the award for the Best Non-Scripted TV Series 2023.
Making the announcement on her instagram account about winning the award she captioned her post: “My first night out in a while and it was completely worth it 🍾thank you to the NFTA awards for recognizing the work, blood, tears, sweats and efforts SMF put into RHOJ🙏.”
She further said: “Winning the “Best Non-Scripted Series for 2023” is the validation we needed. Thank you for seeing us 🙌.”
