Polokwane based radio station, Thobela FM saddened by the death of ‘JJ Menu’

Photo: Facebook / Thobela FM Yaka Polokwane based radio station, Thobela FM, has learnt with sadness about the passing of its presenter Johanna Sebolaishi Seloga, popularly known as ‘JJ Menu’ who passed away on October 23. According to the statement released by the SABC on October 24, ‘JJ Menu’ joined Thobela FM in 2007 and presented many shows including ‘ Thoba Matswalo ’, and ‘ Re mmogo ’.  The 39-year-old was very popular for presenting the Sunday show ‘ Lesang bana’ and was also producing the programme ‘ Moremogolo ’. “Her presence on-air and at the station will be sorely missed,” reads the statement. Photo: Facebook / Thobela FM Yaka When it hits 07:00, every Sunday morning, kids flocked near their radios to listen to their favourite kiddies show ‘ Lesang Bana’  presented by ‘JJ Menu’, on Thobela FM. Now, the sad news is that they will never hear their favourite presenter’s charming and energetic voice on the airwaves again, as she has passed away. Johannah Seboilaishi Seloga, who was well known as ‘JJ Menu’ on the airwaves, has sadly passed away. It was during an illegal mining operation in Ga-Phasha, Mecklenburg area in the Sekhukhune District, on October 18. The operation was aimed at eradicating the environmental degradation, safety hazards and illegal mining activities. On October 2023, Tshwane mayor Cilliers Brink together with a multidisciplinary team of metro police officers and local economic development and health officials conducted a by-law enforcement operation in the area.
