Moja Love has confirmed the passing of Sthebelele Gaju, who was popularly known as Gogo Mathambo.

The presenter was hosting the popular show called Fake Gobela, every Sunday at 20:00, on Moja Love.

According to the statement released by the channel on November 21, Gogo Mathambo died after a short illness.

“Gogo Mathambo displayed a courageous spirit in exposing fake sangomas and gobelas and the injustices happening in that space,” reads the statement.


“The channel sends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans. His contribution will be hugely missed.”


Before joining Moja Love, Gogo Mathambo was a weekly contributor on Emalahleni FM show Emthonjeni Wempilo, where he assisted listeners with interpreting their dreams and spiritual challenges.

Fans and supporters took to social media platforms to pay tribute to him.


Taking to X, @Diegochuene said: “Rest in Peace to Fake Gobela host, Gogo Mathambo.”


“May his soul rest in peace #fakegobela Moja love 💔💔,” @mopedi_thwiiii said.


Another X user, @MrLuu_2311 said: “ RIP Gogo Mathambo I really started to like the guy and his show, hope his ancestors accept him😥 .”
